Re:
Mexico Dove Hunt 28th - 31st 2002
James,
Jimmy,
I am
writing this letter on behalf of the Black Creek Drilling
group that participated in the dove hunt on Aug 28th
of 2002. What a wonderful time. We had 16 total hunters
and the accommodations were outstanding. All participants
were extremely satisfied and could not express enough
thanks for being treated to such a wonderful event.
The
hunting was great. We killed over a thousand birds during
the six hunts. We ha 331 birds killed in one afternoon.
The doves were plentiful and everyone had plenty of
shooting opportunities. We shot a total of 240 boxes
of shells. All participants left with sore shoulders.
What
a great deal it is to have 2 J Outfitters furnish the
shotguns. The new Benelli's were great. We had no hassle
with gun permits and no delays at the border. All we
had to bring was our clothes and coolers to take the
birds home in.
The
lodge was absolutely great. 13 tons of AC kept everyone
cool and comfortable. It was late August in Mexico and
we did not have one single complaint about the heat
or anyone being uncomfortable. As stated, we had 16
people at the hunt. There was more than sufficient room
for sleeping arrangements and the beds were very comfortable.
We
cannot say enough about the food. It was absolutely
fantastic. We had been on other hunts in Mexico where
the food was mediocre and the servings were small. Not
this trip. All meals were great and there was more than
enough for seconds and even thirds if wanted. Hats off
to t he staff at the lodge.
Last
but not least, the Cerveza was cold. There was plenty
of cold beer to enjoy after the hunts as well as a complete
bar if your desire was for something a little stronger.
We
want to give 2 J Outfitters a BIG THANKS for a very
successful wing shoot in Mexico. Black Creek and its
customers all had a great time and are looking forward
to a return visit.
